SCUTELLARIA BARBATA: Acrid, bitter, Cold.
Actions & Indications:
- Clear heat, relieves toxicity, invigorates blood, and reduces swelling for furuncles, sores, and abscesses as well as snakebites, promotes movement and disperses in the course of clearing. Recently use in treating cancer in one study 30g̀r of SCUTELLARIA BARBATA was prepared as a decoction and taken daily by 36 patients with either esophageal or Lung cancer. A certain number did experience short- term improvement in their symptoms but no cures or long -term remissions in their symptoms were reported (pharmacological & clinical research).
BUPLEURUM CHINENSIS: Bitter, Acrid, Cool
